Jason & deMarco "Celebrating Diversity" Fall Concert Tour

Coming to Living Waters on October 12

RINGOES, NJ - Pop singing duo and real-life partners, Jason & deMarco, will be bringing their unique brand of inspiring music to Living Waters Lutheran Church at 11 Old York Rd. in Ringoes on Saturday, October 12, from 7-8:30 p.m. The concert is free and all members of the community are invited to attend.

The "Celebrating Diversity" tour begins in Nashville on September 27 and continues for 30 days, with more than 20 concerts scheduled for the East Coast. Jason & deMarco will be boarding the RV tour bus along with Jason's parents and the duo's newest additions, their two-year-old twin sons, Mason and Noah.

"We saw how including my parents on the last tour was such a powerful statement of reconciliation; showing a mother's and father's acceptance and support of their son, his partner and our nontraditional family of diversity," says Jason. "A highlight in our show was when Jason's mom performed with us on stage, and we plan on doing more of this on the fall tour," says deMarco. "We hope that everyone, no matter who you are or where you come from, will come together for a great concert experience - celebrating their differences, while being inspired and feeling a part of this exciting time in history where civil rights and equality for all is being established," says Jason. "Having our sons with us on the road and including them in our show, we also hope other families of diversity will come out to support one another and celebrate their diversity with us in concert."

"Straight or gay, male or woman, black or white, our diversity is what makes us a unique and powerful nation," deMarco continues. "Many of us want the same thing. We hope to find someone to love, who will love us in return; and perhaps even build a family with that person. We hope that our tour will inspire people and remind us all that, in spite of our differences, when we respect one another's hopes and dreams, everyone wins. We can all create the life that we desire."

Jason & deMarco first recorded a Christmas album together in 2002 and launched a national Christmas tour. They had such an overwhelming response to their tour that they began recording more albums together and have since released six CDs and several singles, two that climbed the Billboard charts, and a music video for their hit song "This is Love," which won "Video of the Year" on LOGO in 2006. Jason & deMarco's most recent album release is "SAFE." They will perform many of the tracks from the album on their "Celebrating Diversity" tour as well as new arrangements to well-known songs that they have yet to record.

The duo have performed throughout the world including Naples, Venice, Barcelona and Thailand. In 2005, they were banned from Singapore for being an openly gay couple. However, a year later, they were invited back to perform in Singapore to a sold-out event with more than 1,000 in attendance. A government official attended and publicly apologized for the ban from the stage.

The tour will continue to commemorate Jason & deMarco's 10-year anniversary as a singing duo. Almost all concerts will be on a donation (love offering) basis, with a $20 suggested minimum. A portion of proceeds from the tour will support SAFE (a 501c3 that offers support to GLBTQ foster and homeless youth). For more information about Jason & deMarco, visit www.jasonanddemarco.com.
