Offers Solar Screening Event
Opportunity for Homeowners to "Go Solar" at No Cost
GreenFaith - an interfaith environmental coalition - and AP Solar will offer a free Solar Screening Event at Living Waters Lutheran Church on Sunday, June 17. This event offers homeowners the chance to be screened for a zero-cost solar installation that would provide them with discounted electricity. "We're excited to host this event and invite all members of the community to join us to see if their roof is suitable for solar," says Rev. Lee Ann Zandstra, pastor of Living Waters.
At the Screening Event, there will be a monitor set up enabling interested homeowners to have their home screened via satellite photos to see if their roof appears to be suitable for solar. "It's an enjoyable, interesting way to learn about solar power," states Rev. Fletcher Harper, GreenFaith's executive director. "We're eager to work with faith-based sites around New Jersey to identify homeowners whose home qualifies for this great opportunity."
For every home that successfully goes solar through this Solar Screening Event and related online registration, GreenFaith and AP Solar will make a $200 contribution to Living Waters. "We believe in giving back to the community," says AP Solar CEO John Hooper. "We believe in solar power and in the importance of the faith community."
This offer is open to all New Jersey homeowners, and the public is welcome to this event. For those who cannot be at the Screening Event, homeowners can register online atwww.greenfaith.orgto have their roof evaluated.
